Don't expect any art from me or anything. One day I may get around to scanning all my drawings etc. and you can all go "ooohhhh, going to university can teach you how to draw! Even if you're not doing anything to do with art!" because seriously, lectures are fucking boring.
But mostly, I'm here to bitch. Like a whiny teenager. But about more adult stuff. Economics. Its the hot shit at the moment isn't it? I mean, I'm doing a joint study for it in uni, so I guess I have as much of a right to bitch about it as anyone else.
But seriously, fuck you Malcolm Turnbull and the liberal party, you are all fucking idiots and have made me lose faith in your politcal stylings all together. Perhaps Peter Costello could have handled his shit a bit better, but no, he didn't man up and become the experienced leader his party needed him to. No, instead we're left with a banker who apparently thinks any cheap shot that can be made, should be made.
Hey Malcolm, guaranteeing bank deposits was the best move that could possibly have been made in these economic circumstances. Hell, to not make this decision could well have led to our perfectly fine banking system utterly failing simply due to fear, with bank runs becoming prevalent, and we may well have actually been looking down the barrel of a depression in such circumstances. But no, according to you, it was a stupid, sneaky and not well thought out move that should have taken months to push through parliament, and to make sure that every little word was perfect. Of course, by then we may well have seen several of our banks bankrupted, simply due to the exponential effects of foreign fear. Yeah, that would have been a much better outcome.
Oh, and you have the gall to assault the Labour party for not doing enough to stop the crisis before it happened. Because, you know, the Australian Government has so much power over free markets, especially FOREIGN free markets. Fucking moron. Let's not even bring up the fact that 3 months ago the liberals, and you yourself, were saying that the Labour party wasn't doing enough to slow the economy to decrease inflation. Even when most of that was attributable to the rising costs of oil anyway. This is why Kevin Rudd's style of politics has gained my favour, he saves his derogatory comments for question time, and even then he manages to at least try to stay on message.
God, if any of my elders try to use this time as an example of why the Labour party is bad, I'm going to punch them in the face, because they've been trying (and previously succeeding) to lie to me and skew my political beliefs all my life.
